Thanks From A Sailor

Ray,
I’m just writing to tell you how much your messages on Identity which you conducted recently meant to me. I was back in my hometown visiting family and heard you speak on Sunday morning and to no surprise I loved it. But it was the cd’s of the seminar that my Mother gave me to listen to that has helped me no end! I am only partially through them but I am getting there.
When I am at work I volunteer for the “graveyard shift”. I do this because no one is around and I can listen to the cd’s without risk of being caught and getting in trouble! Identity has been a big thing for me. I tend to look for it through my work, for years my identity was that I am a Sailor and loved it! However, God has been slowly taking away the ideals and goals I had to show me how much I actually hid behind the uniform. This has been very hard for me for I could not understand why God would do such a thing. But I now know why.
You mentioned how if you were comfortable with who you are you would not be so easily troubled if someone disagreed with your beliefs, I struggle with that badly, I try to defend God to the end only to realise that I have probably convinced them that he is not real at all!
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I have been and will continue to be blessed by your obedience and commitment to our Lord. I am a straight shooter and I struggle to grasp what people are getting at when they beat around the bush, hence why I also enjoy our local pastors! I just wanted to encourage you.
God Bless

Here is another wonderful testimony. It is so encouraging to receive these :D

Thank You Ray

I have just finished a training with Vision College in New Zealand. We had a wonderful time and I received an email from one of the participants and I would love to share it with you all.

Dear Ray,

Bless you for imparting upon me some truths that have haunted me for over 30 years. During my time spent with you over the 3 days I soaked in so much more than I ever expected. It’s like a light bulb went on in my head. I have been caught up Ray in the environment around me and the environment that was taught me from the day I was born.

"I feel free."

"I feel free."

For once in my life I understand why I do what I do, and where it has come from, but most of  all I understand that it is about MY belief system and values from this day forward that will let me be my unique self and not the belief system of everybody else around me because I wanted to please them even if it was against my belief.

You see to cut a long story short I had similarities to the girl that was 19 years old that we profiled Wednesday evening. I love my parents dearly, but there were things mentally and physically that hurt me so bad and stopped me from believing in myself. Here I am 42 years old still longing for acknowledgment particularly from my mother.

After spending time with you Ray and listening to your words of wisdom I don’t need to long for acknowledgement anymore. I feel free and I can still adore and love my mother unconditionally. My darling father is in the hands of OUR LORD and I know that he is around me and is proud of me. He sees everything now.

I have only come back into church. Actually the Sunday just gone when I asked you to give me a hug and thanked you for  making a difference to my life has been the first time I have been to church since I was 13 years old. You see I thought God didn’t care about me when I used to pray to him. I realize now He never left me. I left him. Now I want nothing more than to let The Holy Spirit work through me.

Once again Thank you from the bottom of my heart for freeing me.

Looking At Failure

Mankind is behavior conscious and God is love conscious. The only way He can prove that to us is to put us in a fleshly body, a fleshly world, blind us, let us make mistakes and BLESS us and the message in a tremendous way.  It is only then that I actually experience that He isn’t about behavior but love.

If we try to put as the goal of our time on earth, as a place where fallen and fleshly man will imitate Jesus and come to perfect obedience it would be ludicrous for no man has accomplished that.  If we could be perfect on Earth then how does earth prepare us for heaven?  No the purpose for earth is contrast through failure and choosing to accept what he creates in us through his love. I honestly love Him more in my stupidity than I do in my successes. It is the spiritual Way but the whole world and the Christian religion is shouting that it is all about behavior.  It isn’t and in our failures we have been made safe for the work He is doing through us.

Regret is the proof that their is still a bit of mourning over the failure of our flesh to perform.  Regret is the pride of man as we expected more than He did of us.  The thoughts of past failures must trigger the thoughts of the blessings of today & all that he has provided in a glorious future–we have a message  that releases us bringing the great news “that our history does not determine our destiny  ” amen  Be encouraged _he does love us.

Soon I want to write a devotion on all the myths that I have learned, like God loves us “unconditionally ” No he doesnt,as that implies he loves me despite my failures ,stuff ups & mistakes, NO; he totally & completely LOVES us -  FULL STOP !!!!
